At the risk of turning this into a music blog, I have to gush about the shows we've seen recently. The Ditty Bops were indescribably amazing. Funny, charming, so talented, we were putty in their mandolin-holding hands. They also used their show to promote petition-signing for San Francisco's proposed ban on plastic bags, which is great. What really got us, though, was the opening act, Jesca Hoop. You should go to her site, right now, and watch the video for Big Fish. Right now. It's like an army of ragamuffin children circling around Jesca in her amazing vintage wardrobe.

We also saw Patty Griffin on Thursday and she has got the have the most soulful, beautiful, strong voice ever to come out of a 90 pound white woman with crazy red hair. Needless to say, we stood at the alter and worshipped.
