Second Life for Satin and Bows

I've been coming across an inordinate amount of old prom dresses lately and want desperately to have some kind of "method" for repurposing them. I need look no further. I found designer Louis de Gama out of Prague and his collections include this sweet number. Some of his pieces don't really tug at my heart strings, but I'm having a love affair with this one. He doesn't seem to be repurposing found fabrics/garments, but doesn't this translate well into a reworked prom dress? I'm running with it.

How funny you should say that! We're in the process of making a mini collection for a bride in Dallas for her (gulp) 12!!! bridesmaids! She's having us do all kinds of unique, layered, feminine dresses--each one is different!
