Good Things Come to Those Who Search

As some of you know, Julie and I spend what amounts to hours upon hours shuffling up and down the aisles of vintage shops, thrift stores, and the less glamorous, yet delightfully cheap, Bargain Barn. We get almost all of our materials in this way so we can continue our commitment to using recycled products to make Armour sans Anguish goodies. While shopping is generally regarded as a fun pastime by gals like ourselves, it gets to be draining--especially at the Bargain Barn where one is likely to be elbowed or trampled by the stampede of bargain hunters. Sometimes I think I never want to see the inside of a thrift store again, but then I remember the adorableness that I sometimes come upon that I may actually get to keep (!). Here is a sampling of some of my thrift store finds that transcend the usual barrage of Bill Cosby sweaters and worn-out Keds. Left, clockwise--vintage suitcase, vintage lamp, 1930's bathing suit, cute 80's clutch, unraveled bad sweater (aka adorable yarn), vintage cotton shorts, fabric swatches that go in the "I may never use these, they are so pretty" pile. I think I scored all of this for less than $8.00. Just had to share!
